Yesterday (Friday) was a very grey, dampt and foggy day here, even if the rain had stopped pouring down. Sunnier weather was forecasted for today - but also risk of frost and ice.
Having given my knee and feet plenty of indoors rest for a couple of days, I decided to try my (in "normal" life) habitual Friday afternoon "recycling" walk. (It's often a good time to go, because then the bins have usually been recently emptied.) It went well, so no regrets.
Saturday ~ 10:15 a.m.
This morning, I woke up to sun and blue skies - but also frost-covered ground. Past noon, it's still frosty in shadowy places. I'm not sure if we're ready for that yet ("we" as in me and my knee!) Not sure yet if I'll be going out at all - but if I do, it won't be far, and I'll try to keep in the sun...
I hope you and your knee stay safe when walking. Keep in the sun as you say, to avoid hidden patches of frost.

DeleteWe‘ve been having an unusually warm week with some areas not far away getting daytime temperatures up to 22C and 17/18C here in Ludwigsburg. It was nice being able to keep the window open all afternoon and leaving the house without needing a scarf, but as it is also a clear sign of climate change, I could not enjoy it without a twinge of worry at the back of my mind.
ReplyDeleteAnother comparatively mild day is expected today (Sunday), then a steep drop from Monday onwards.
Meike, it remained frosty here all day yesterday. And I had kind of "forgotten" how early the sun goes to bed these days so ended up just staying in.
DeleteIf I had been posting last week, I would have reported Frost On 6 roofs that Beau and I saw on our walk, not sure how or why, it was only 42 degress
