In summer I usually sleep with my window open as well. Unlike a neighbourhood of private houses where everyone tends to their own garden, and when one lawnmower (or leafblower) stops, another starts... ;)DawnTreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04533307672147117843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4609118120551505936.post-60388289482146540342018-05-28T09:15:22.757+02:002018-05-28T09:15:22.757+02:00My 'air conditioning' is open windows and ...My 'air conditioning' is open windows and doors. However, on very hot days (which, in the Outer Hebrides, is a relative concept) with little wind that would encourage a house full of midges. Getting up in the morning, first thing: windows open, even though I sleep with the bedroom window open almost all year round (I rather have a warmer duvet and blanket than keeping the window shut).<br />There is no additional ventilation in my house, so I depend on opening the windows. As you say, sometimes it can be a test to my patience and tolerance, when people outdoors are noisy. My pet hate: leaf blowers...!!!Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.com
