It's been a rainy weekend here. Yesterday afternoon I managed a short walk in the immediate neighbourhood, though - and without getting wet.
Today I managed to stay dry as well - but by staying in!! ;)
The night between yesterday and today it was also time to turn our clocks back to winter (=normal!) time. I turned all mine (except the internet-controlled devices) back last night, before going to bed. When I woke up this morning I had to double-check though - because in spite of turning the clocks back, I managed to sleep until 10 a.m. ...
"Little My" timer (if you don't know her, she is one of the Moomin characters). She is of no help at all with the big twice-a-year time changes - nor with getting up in the morning. But she does sometimes help with reminding me to take breaks from sitting too long at the computer, or to make sure I unplug the iron after I'm done with ironing...

The fourth is my favorite. Because the yellow leaves just seem to kind of drape, kind of like moss. But also this row of trees in front of the playground is beautiful. Nothing like this here yet. We don't turn our clocks till next weekend. Do you set an alarm, or just get up whenever you want?
ReplyDeleteGinny, I only set an alarm if I need to, like if I have an appointment to keep etc.
DeleteI love the Little My timer and the leadf carpets under the trees. I have never set my alarm in my whole life, not even when working, I just woke up when I needed to.
ReplyDeleteRiver, *never* to have to set an alarm sounds like a remarkable gift/talent to me! Don't think I’ve ever heard anyone say that before!!
DeleteMy dad was the same.
DeleteYou know that Little My has always been my favourite Moomin character - the timer is adorable and certainly useful in the kitchen when you're baking or so.
ReplyDeleteThe autumn foliage is beautiful, lighting up the otherwise grey day.
Meike, in the kitchen I have a digital timer, so Little My lives in my study (where I also keep my ironing board). Saves me from having to move the other timer around and forget where I last used it... ;) Of course I can also use the phone these days, and I often do for other kinds of reminders. But I found it hard to resist Little My when I came across her... ;)
ReplyDeleteThe autumn leaves are truly awesome
ReplyDeleteI remember the moomins a little bit from my childhood but I preferred the Wombles.
ReplyDeleteLove the Little My timer. I guess the company gave you a box load when you agreed to be the model for the Little My figure! Nice to hear she watches over you like a guardian angel.
