I'm back home since yesterday evening; and today my brother drove back up to Karlstad. We had pretty much perfect weather for most of our trip - just a bit too hot the last day (...and the AC in the car not working...).
As usual we managed to take a wrong turn now and then - but that just meant that we got to see some things not in the original plan, but still worth seeing!
I have lots of photos from both camera and phone, and have started the process of downloading them to my laptop and sorting them. However, as I'll also be going to friend's birthday party (70) on Saturday, I'll probably not get round to much blogging until next week. But here are a few teaser "Skywatch" photos from along the road...
Beautiful photos. Looks like you had lovely skies for your trip!
ReplyDeleteI love the sky - always changing.
ReplyDeleteI love your teasers!!
ReplyDeleteLove a blue and white sky.
ReplyDeleteLooks like great weather, and hopefully all the cloud cover made it less hot.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful trip, with even the wrong turns adding to the adventure.
ReplyDeleteRo, we always try to look at it that way! ;)
DeleteNo traffic, blue skies, the makings of a good holiday. Look forward to more photos.
ReplyDeletePauline, alas there were also a lot of roadworks going on, so here and there we did get stuck in queues moving very slowly...
DeleteDelightful captures!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, Monica!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your friend's 70th birthday party tomorrow. If I remember correctly, yours is coming up, too. Will you invite Barbie and Skipper?
Meike, as I have not made any big party plans myself, Barbie and Skipper may well be my only guests - at least on the actual day! ;) ... (More seriously, I'm counting this trip with my brother as my main celebration. And I'm likely to meet old friends at my friend's party without having to be the centre of attention myself!)
DeleteI'm glad you had an enjoyable holiday. Lovely photographs!
ReplyDeleteGreat introduction to your travelogue! Can’t wait for more!
ReplyDeleteSearching for the heart of Sweden - looking forward to more images and details of the trip with your brother. Don't get too drunk at your friend's birthday party - I suggest that you lay off the vodka Monica.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what table you chose at this party, the only drinks served were sparkling water, non-alcoholic cider, coffee and tea, YP...
DeleteTravel teasers are welcome. Nice job! Have a fun time at the birthday party.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful day for a long drive.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Skywatch Friday!
