Passing through the city park on Wednesday this week, I saw these floating stars in the river. Judging by the truck and boat nearby, my impression was that they had probably just been installed. I seem to remember them from a different spot in the river another year, and that they also light up in the dark.

I would imagine they will look amazing at night
ReplyDeleteOK, now you're challenged to go see them at night, and take photos and share here! Maybe?
ReplyDeleteRemains to be seen, Barbara! I'm not keen on going out in the dark these days, it's difficult enough in the daylight to see where I put my feet...
DeleteTake someone with you?
DeleteMaybe. I think I'll wait until all the Christmas lights in town are turned on though.
DeleteThis is kind of cool. It must be beautiful to see them all lit up on the water!
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful, when they light up are they all the same colour?
ReplyDeleteRiver, if memory serves me right they were all white/yellow.
DeleteWhat a lovely surprise to come across these floating stars; they must look quite magical when illuminated after dark, especially as they gently drift along the river.
ReplyDeleteI am sure they light up at night, otherwise it wouldn't make much sense to install them in the first place.
ReplyDeleteMeike, you are right of course. I'm just not sure if they'll be turning them on yet, or wait until Advent. In the past they have often made a special event of turning on all Christmas lights in the city centre at the same time. So I'll probably wait a while to check...
