I happened to wake up just in time to catch the sunrise this morning... Photos taken from my kitchen at 7:41-7:42. (The sun soon followed my own example and went back to bed, though - and remained hidden the major part of the day...)
Red sky at night, sailors delight, Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning. Looks like the old saying is true, what starts out as a beautiful day turned out to be a day to stay in bed
Never heard that saying! I didn't stay in bed all day, but the sun did go into hiding, and there were very icy winds blowing when I went out for a very short walk in the afternoon.

ReplyDeleteLaughing out loud here- You let the sun back to bed!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I'm not sure I really have the authority... ;) It went into hiding anyway, and I myself didn't "really" get up until an hour or so later...
DeleteThat is one spectacular sunrise! Lucky that you caught it.
ReplyDeleteGlorious sunrise, but sadly not fulfilling its early promise.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours
ReplyDeleteHere in Yorkshire we are all noticing the gradual lengthening of days. It is as if we are emerging from a deep, dark tunnel.
ReplyDeleteI can agree with that. The days are visibly getting longer. Nevertheless, winter is still holding us in a very icy grip here, both night and day.
DeleteThat is an impressive sunrise.
