Weekend Reflections

Friday sunset reflected in the windows of a nearby building.
(If I hadn't known it was the sunset, I'd have been seriously worried!!)

After that spectacular show last night, the sun went into hiding again, though; and today has only offered grey skies and rain, while the snow has kept melting away. I have not set foot outdoors, but neither have I got much"done" indoors. In the afternoon I intended to spend some time reading - lying on my bed with myself and the Kindle both comfortably propped up. Woke up some 2-3 hours later and found that I seemed not to have read more than a couple of pages before I dozed off...

    1. Ginny, when I can, I try to take advantage of fine days to go out, but of dull weather to stay in...

  2. It is gorgeous and scary because it looks like the room is on fire inside. I love it. everyday I do that last lunch dish and head to the bed, propping myself and my kindle comfortably and sometimes I read for an hour or even two and sometimes I fall asleep and wake up 20 minutes to an hour later.. either way, makes the swelling in my feet go down and I am refreshed and ready to get up and dive in again

    1. Sandra, I try to find a balance between being "on" vs "off" my feet (and knee!) as well... :)

  4. It really looks as if the house was on fire inside! Good job you knew it wasn't the case :-)
Your body and mind obviously needed the rest. Still healing and adjusting, it all requires energy.
Woke up this morning to a sky of winter pastels and -8C.

    1. Meike, no doubt you're right about healing from an injury demanding some general energy from the body in general.

  5. It does look worryingly like a fire indoors!
I hope you are enjoying a restful weekend. Bad weather is always a good excuse to put your feet up and relax. That's what I tell the dog when it's raining and she wants to go out for a walk!

    1. Carol, not having a dog to talk to, I have to just talk to myself... :)

  6. Wonderful photograph - well observed.
It sounds as though you needed the sleep. I hope it didn't interfere with your night's rest.
