I try to be out walking as much as possible (or comfortable!) just now, to catch the light and colours of autumn. I find the camera a great companion, as it helps me “see things”, even when I just keep to the very familiar neighbourhood close to where I live.
Linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2
. . .
PS. On request from Adrian… (see his comment)
Better?? (I suppose he might have a point, but my brain objects because I know from where the light actually comes in that place at that time of day…)
The second image is as good as they get.
ReplyDeletePS. I would flip it horizontally. I prefer images leading from the right.
DeleteMirror images is one of the things my usual editing program (Picasa) does not do, so I had to go to my PaintShop to try it. I added it at the bottom of the post for comparison. I suppose you might have a point, but my brain objects because I know from where the light actually comes in that place at that time of day…
Deletelovely evocative autumn shots
ReplyDeleteI understand what you mean about seeing things in a new ways if you see through the camera. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteMy Shadow Shot
They are beautiful! Two and three are my favorite. iIlove what you have dome with the light and the shadows.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely, Monica. Your light seems very soft right now.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures again - I like the leaves-macro best.
ReplyDeleteI know very well, what you mean by saying that the camera helps seeing familiar things in a different way.
Thanks for reminding me.
:-)
Alles Gute für dich!
Your pictures make me want to go out for a nice long walk myself, but I'm not really ready for that just yet. I was in the firm grip of a big fat cold nearly all week and stayed home from work since Wednesday, but want to be back at the office tomorrow, so I need to get all the rest I can today.
ReplyDeleteSo, while I'm not going out for a walk myself, I can look at your beautiful pictures instead - it's pretty much like that around here now, too.
I've taken photos for over 60 years but what has changed my perception of everything is using the photos for blogging. I think the light through the trees in the triptych is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to take photos of leaves on the road but was too involved in taking photos of the colors of the leaves on the trees. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you for your comments! The response is always welcome :)
ReplyDeleteYour photos made me feel as if I were walking under the shade of the trees with you.
