Wednesday Evening - Waiting for Thunder...
"I see the world being slowly transformed into a wilderness;
I hear the approaching thunder that, one day, will destroy us too.
I feel the suffering of millions. And yet, when I look up at the sky,
I somehow feel that everything will change for the better,
that this cruelty too shall end,
that peace and tranquility will return once more."

Great skies.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very powerful piece of writing.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, JayCee. Sadness, fear and hope all woven together...
DeleteShe was always hopeful. Thunder is O.K. but I hate lightening!
ReplyDeleteGinny, this time the weather front passed by here quickly, and the thunder not too close. But bringing a quick change to much cooler air.
DeleteDramatic sky in your first photograph. Poor Anne Frank - so young, so hopeful, so doomed.
ReplyDeleteJanice, her diary is a book I've kept returning to many times since I first read it back in my teens.
DeleteBeautiful skies. I love the light in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteThanks SPP. It did look quite dramatic.
Deletebeautiful, words and photos. Blue and white sky, nothing better
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra. Today all grey and rainy, and probably a staying-in day for me.
DeleteThe sky is mesmerising
ReplyDeleteAnne Frank's quote has me welling up. It is so timely, and to know what happened to her...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky image.
Meike, her diary is one of those books I've kept returning to over the years. My Swedish copy of it was printed in 1969 (when I was 14) so that's probably when I first read it.
