A "leftover" reflection photo from Monday, 30 June. An old curved factory building that always makes irresistible reflections in the river on a calm and sunny day...
Somehow, 30 June already feels like a long time ago, as since then, the weather has gone from sunny and pleasant, to too hot, to thunder and cooling off, to raining all day today. Really rather typical of Swedish summer weather; but it can still be quite hard to keep up and adjust, sometimes!
Anyway, today has been an indoors day for me; and too much of it has been spent on trying to adjust to a different kind of change: A lot of settings on my phone needing to be revised (and figured out again), following an update to Android 15 on that device...

I hate the updates! And some of them turn out to be worse than the old one. This photo is one of the best you have ever taken! Stunningly gorgeous with the combination of the unusual curved building and the reflection.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny :) As for system updates, when I haven't felt the need for them, I do usually just find them annoying... ;)
DeleteThat is a gorgeous reflection indeed
ReplyDeleteThanks Ro!
DeleteHow I wish for rain here! Maybe the wildfires in north-eastern Germany have made it to Swedish TV news, too; it's very worrying. Far away from my area, but it's been way too dry here, too. Rain is forecast for Monday and Tuesday, which will make an upcoming work trip easier to bear than the very hot days of this week.
ReplyDeleteUpdates shouldn't fiddle with our settings, but I know they do... it's annoying because you have to go through everything again. But I have no doubt that you'll sort it out :-)
Meike, I had not heard of the wildfires in Germany (haven't watched much news this weekend) but having seen the recent "heat maps" for Europe, Germany included, I'm not surprised... I hope you do get some rain soon! Personally I even rather welcomed a rainy weekend here even though we've been far from the heat further south on the continent.
DeleteI think I've managed to refind/restore most of the changed settings on my phone (or else I suppose I'll keep discovering them one by one) One of the annoying things is that I never seem able to recall what they are called, or under what heading to look for them. There are so many options these days that I feel no need of (or haven't got a clue what they do) that finding those that I DO want and am used to, sometimes feels like searching for the famous needle in the haystack... ;)
Fluctuating temperatures are challenging. Everything is so dry here, sow e co uld really do with some substantial rain.
ReplyDeleteUpdates seem to upset everything - there should be a way of updating without so much trouble.
Janice, I hope some rain will find its way to you too before long. The update didn't really upset "everything", I suppose - just enough to have me looking for some things for hours before refinding them... ;)
DeleteYes the building looks old, 1930s or earlier maybe? Looks like you're having a nice Summer.
