This is a really excellent mystery photo!!! I need to try posting some, too. Well, I see maybe a foot at the top. In the center it looks like the bottom of a drink can. And maybe a remote on each end? Maybe getting ready for an evening if T.V. watching?
I can just make out part of your ankle and foot at the top of the photo. So I think that you have a couple of what we call "carvers" (plastic blocks filled with liquid which you freeze) on either side of a chilled drinks can? Whatever it is, I do hope that it gives you some relief and reduces the swelling.
Thanks to everyone above for "playing"... Meike's answer comes closest and is actually pretty much spot on - it is indeed a cool pack (ice pack) wrapped in a kind of fabric and placed on my knee to help reduce the swelling (for a while now and then when resting.)
What I really took the photo for, though, was to show my "invention" of how to fasten it on my knee/leg. But then I started wondering if anyone would get what the photo was showing at all, by just looking at it... ;-)
Anyway: Besides first wrapping the cool pack itself in a piece of bandage, I have then used another folded piece of tube bandage on the leg to make a "pocket" to keep the thing in place - so that it doesn't accidentally fall off if I happen to move without thinking...

ReplyDeleteGinny, well spotted with the foot, and you're not wrong about me watching TV when I took the photo - but... (cf my explanation below)
DeleteI'm no good at these things. Vacuum cleaner? It will be so obvious when you tell us, Monica.
ReplyDeleteJanice, if I was giving out prizes, you'd get a consolation one for the most original answer...
DeleteI'll vote for a hot water bottle.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad guess Barbara - even if it was the exact opposite! (See my explanation below.)
DeleteSomething on top of a couch?
ReplyDeleteRo, it's definitely "something"... (lol)
DeleteYes, of course. It's a cool pack wrapped in fabric (a towel or blanket?) and positioned on your knee to help getting rid of the swelling.
ReplyDeleteMeike, you have a keen eye for details! (se my extended explanation below)

Carol, no drinks can involved in the photo, but otherwise you're not far off!
