On the morning of Christmas Eve - quite a surprise! - I
woke up to trees and ground covered by a layer of white snow, which
lasted all day. (No sunshine, though.)
In the morning of Christmas Day, it looked almost like we could be getting a sunny day... That too ended up mostly grey, though - and it started to thaw a little. I wasn't out any further than to take out a couple of garbage bags, though. Photos taken from my balcony.
This morning (Boxing Day in Britain - here in Sweden "annandag jul" = 2nd Day of Christmas), the snow was all gone; and the sun still hiding behind fog.

Lovely captures!
ReplyDeleteI love to see your tree views...as my windows offer similar sites. We've got fog now also, though it's quite warm (50 F). Damp of course...which I don't like in all my joints. I like your nice dawn shot with some color for you at least!
ReplyDeletewe had beautiful wispy fog this morning, not thick, but just floating in the tree tops, like sheer see through fog... sun was out and bright by 8 though, waiting for it to hit the kicchen door at 10 and warm the house up. we are in the no AC/heat, and using the sun to warm up in the am, and the windows up to cool off in the late afternoon
ReplyDeleteThe sky never gets boring, does it, especially not in combination with the silhouettes of trees.
ReplyDeleteChristmas Day was sunny but cold and windy, and today (2. Weihnachtstag) started sunny as well but then turned grey only for the sun to come back in the early afternoon. No snow here at all.
