Red Brick and Roses
On our last evening in Lund (back in July) we went for a random walk along charming back streets that had me stopping at more or less every house and corner to take photos...
I think I'll just share one now and then rather than gather them all in one post!

This one is beautiful. It looks like what we used to live in, that was called semi-detached. Actually two houses.
I would never have thought of red trim on a house but this is BEAUTIFUL. I love it!!! and it goes so well with the brick.... I would have spent half a day staring at houses
That's a handsome house. The roses make it even more inviting.
I currently have a red brick house....not as lovely as that one....maybe I should plant some roses....white ones, I think!
It is not just a beautiful house in itself, it also looks well cared for.
Yes. Semi-detached houses are not as common here in Sweden as for example in Britain.
In Skåne (which in the past used to belong to Denmark) half-timbered houses are common and we saw quite a few in the combination with red brick. But I don't think all that many with the timber also painted red.
There were so many cute old houses with flowers growing at the door... I was enchanted!
That would look lovely too, I'm sure :)
Yes... All the old houses in central Lund looked very neat and well cared for!
Funny, you're like me, I take so many photos of everything.
I can't recall seeing houses like that in the UK but I've seen something similar in the Nederlands.
