Some more photos from my walk on Saturday. After I had been to check on the cherry blossom trees, I took a little detour to check on another park nearby.
The big tree is not an oak but a maple.
Some daffodils in bloom - but looking a bit "downcast" from the capricious weather.
A park area with big lawns down by the river used to have flowerbeds of daffodils and tulips in spring, but those parts of the park are obviously under re-construction just now, so I didn't bother going down there this time...
No real change in the cold weather since the weekend. Less windy today, but raining...

I love the big Maple Tree!! Reminds me of the one we had in our front yard.
The maple is beautiful! Don't you just love that first tender green this time of year?
We've been having a very cold spell (below zero at night), but by Friday/Saturday, another high of about 20C is forecast. April...
most of the blogs I have seen today are talking about how green everything is.. and your rain will make your green even greener. welcome spring
The Maple tree is quite magnificent and the daffodils look cheerful in spite of the wind.
Unusually for this late in April, we have had much cooler temperatures, with a very chilly wind. The sky is blue and the sun is shining but there is no real warmth to the days.
Ginny, I do like that tree too :)
Meike, I certainly can't complain this year that spring has been coming on too fast... ;-)
Sandra, spring is making slow progress this year - but it IS getting greener...
Still wearing my winter coat here, Carol...
