Photos from my walk into the city centre (Borås, Sweden) on Thursday this week. After a rainy and windy period, this was a day with blue sky and the river still like a mirror. The building covered in plastic is being renovated. It was one of the first buildings here to be decorated with a large mural, ten years ago. (Link to a Weekend Reflections post from back then.) This summer, it will be getting a new and different one. A few other murals will also be replaced during this year's Art Biennial.
I love photos showing reflections in water. Yours are stunning.
ReplyDeleteThanks JayCee. I do love water reflections too.
Deletewow wow wow! love these, they are perfect reflections like we would get if we sat something on a mirror.. can't wait to see the mural. I did go back and look at the other one. your city has be most beautiful murals and they are all so huge
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra. I'm looking forward to seeing some new murals this summer.
Deletewow, these reflections are perfect. My favorite is the middle one with the beautiful tree. And the reflection of it shows all the same details!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny.
DeleteYes lovely reflections and the water is so still, nice to see some blue skies there.
ReplyDeleteAmy, the weather is still very "mixed" but they say now that it's going to get more spring-like next week.
DeleteSuperb reflections!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteIt was the perfect day for it, with the river really as still as a mirror. The suface of the water looks like glass, with the tufty white clouds in the azure sky. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Meike. Back to semi-cloudy and showers over the weekend, but getting warmer. (14'C just now, around noon on Sunday)
DeleteThere is something uniquely appealing about reflections. Here in Ontario, in the fall, when the colours are at their best, it is difficult to see where trees and reflection merge, it is so intense and perfect.
