It's still snowing here "on and off", and seems likely to continue that way for a while. My internet also seems slow today. Whether that's to do with the weather or not, I don't know. But as it seems to take a long time to load pages and publish comments just now, I'll probably won't be doing all that much of that today.
The photo above was zoomed in from one of my windows, yesterday. I'll see if I can manage to link it to Weekend Street/Reflections.
Sometimes I notice a slowing down in my connection at a time when many people are home from work and start their streaming services in the evening, such as Netflix. It doesn't happen during the day and never affects my internet connection when working, only evenings.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in your area right now more people than usual stay home due to the snow and cold, and to relax after having spent time away with family and friends for the holidays, and before they get back to school and work tomorrow, and more use services that require an internet connection than what would usually happen on a Sunday.
You're no doubt right, Meike. I've also had to reconnect Netflix with my router several times over the holidays. And as it's Tweltfh Night tomorrow and Epiphany (red day) on Tuesday, and more snow forecasted, probably a couple of more sluggish days ahead... ;)
DeleteI agree with Librarian.. too many people on at one time. this photo is special. I really like it a lot... great shot
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandra. I liked how the child's overall stood out against all the "black and white"...
DeleteLovely photo. The snow is magical for little ones... less so perhaps for their parents.
ReplyDeleteJenny, snow is usually better when not combined with things you "have to do in spite of it"... ;)
DeleteThis is the perfect title for your photo!!
ReplyDeleteSnow softening the world outside while the slow internet encourages an unplanned pause from the usual online rhythm
