Cliffhanger

CIMG0462

I seem to have trouble keeping up with myself here in the Blogworld at the moment. I blame the weather. Last week it was too hot to spend time at the computer. Now we’re back to “achy” low pressure uncertainty, and feeling clammy because of high humidity…

Looking through my photos from last week for something to post I found this. It’s a consciously deceptive photo – I was trying different angles to find one that would give the impression of height and “anywhere”. In reality I was standing comfortably on a side-walk next to the Town Park…

Oh my! I heaved a sigh of relief when I read your explanation. Looking at the picture, I had imagined you hanging down over a small cliff, grabbing onto a thick vine with one hand and trying to use your camera with the other hand. Seriously, this is the impression the picture gives! So today's post is a smashing success, and I am glad for the explanation! Yipes, one more look before I go...it really does look like you risked life and limb for us...

this is truly a beautiful photo, looks like you went on a hike to the mountains... love those yellow flowers and the little cave looking place. your header is beautiful... i love when the camera makes it seem different. the only perspective would be a person or a dog or something to show the true perspective...

Looks like Prickly Lettuce to me but don't take my word for it. Lactuca serriola. I'm usually wrong. It makes a good picture whatever it is.

That indeed was a cliff hanger. Glad you were not the one hanging. Got shot!

It's a beautiful picture, combining yellow and gray and blue - my favourite colour-combination -, and I like the idea of trying out different angles when taking photos. I do that too, sometimes; for instance, I kneel down or even lay flat on my tummy to take a picture of a field or meadow from that perspective.

Beautiful picture. It's the same here, it's very humid and cloudy at the moment.

The picture certainly gives a good impression of height. As for humidity combined with heat that's something one does not worry about here in the Outer Hebrides.
