Refreshing reminders of summer in the midst of grey and rainy November
Both very nice, especially the Strawberry Fairy. I heard a couple years ago that Japan had invented square watermelons, so they would fit better in the fridge.
ReplyDeleteLovely little fairy! I have always liked Cicely M. Barker's work; either you or someone else has blogged about her before, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteThe watermelon would be so welcome on a hot day!
That watermelon postcard is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe watermelon card and matching stamp, I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd strawberries belong to my favourite food, great that you found a card about this fruit!
Swedish strawberries are my favourite summer food for the short season that they last (usually from around Midsummer and through July)... But water melon is very refreshing, too. Lucky for me, in my small neighbourhood convenience store (in summer) they often sell it cut into quarters (or so), so that I don't have to buy a whole one.
ReplyDeleteHello Monica, both postcards are bright and delightful! I think I'm getting watermelon slices and strawberry for dessert during lunch today. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
