I caught this Shadow Shot yesterday afternoon, when the sun broke through the clouds for a short while. I was reminded that we’d be entering March today, and that it might be time to also help Spring along indoors. This for me includes changing the textiles in my kitchen (see post from last year); and in the sitting room my primary place to mark the seasons is the top of a low wooden chest (in which I keep some of that seasonal stuff, like curtains and table cloths).
The flowers in the big vase are artificial; over the years I have collected a number of different such sprigs, which I keep changing around from time to time.
The bowl is Spanish and was a 40th birthday present from friends of mine. I also have four small ones that belong to it (glazed white on the outside but with the same pattern inside) which I use for soup, salad, yoghurt, desserts etc.
The glass candlesticks belonged to my mother. I don’t remember when or where she got them from but I quite like them, so decided to keep them.
PS. We’re back to snow/rain/slush again today.

Sunny yellow candles casting shadows on the wall must be a mood booster even when there's snow on the ground. Thank you for sharing!
Rain here today, but not all day, and rather mild at 8 or 8 Celsius. I remember your post about last year's seasonal change in your kitchen well - it always looks so beautiful!
it is beautiful and i beleive it is important to make things beautiful because they give a lift of spirits when we look at them. i love the candlesticks.. glad you had shadows to capture. looking at this in my home would make me happy.
I love your shadow picture. Also the lovely things on your chest. I do remember your yellow kitchen. We are like spirits in that we enjoy the changing of the colors. I'm so enjoying my yellow kitchen now and need to find a new yellow round table cloth. (they seem harder to find)
What a splendid scene! I love the sprigs, and now I will do the same! I really thought they were real! I love the beautiful candle shadow, too.
Thanks for visiting, Christine!
Thanks Meike. Somehow it feels like helping spring along! :)
Thanks Sandra, and I agree. Even small things/changes/splashes of colour etc can make a difference to how we feel :)
Thanks Wanda, I've noted your seasonal changes when when visiting your blog as well! :)
Some artificial flowers now are so life-like that you actually have to touch them to make sure whether they are real or not. One just has to take care not to let them get dusty... :)
Lovely flowers :) we are having weird weather over here as well, snow, sleet, rain, winds
