A Rose

Nyponros_mobil

My phone surprises me sometimes by playing around with my photos without any active help from me.  This is what it did with the only photo I took the other day when out walking. It then pinged me and asked if I thought the fancy edit was worth keeping. I decided that it was!

Wow, this is gorgeous! Sometimes I think phones have more picture editing options than regular cameras. You really got a great one here!

So your phone took this, where were you, (: Well done, phone. That shade of pink is extraordinary.

My phone would never do such a thing - its camera is really not is best feature in the first place :-) The only surprises I get from it are when the battery is already going flat again, in spite of me having put it on the recharger the evening before.

I don't recall my phone ever being so impertinent as to mess with my photos unasked!

Thanks. The feature added itself with the last major update, I think!

Ginny, I still take most of my photos with the camera though, and I never edit those directly in the camera, but on the computer. But the phone comes in handy sometimes when I haven't got the camera with me. And also if I want to take a photo and publish it directly to Facebook.

Well, I did take the photo. The phone is not yet jumping out of my handbag taking pictures on its own! ;) It just likes to give me editing suggestions now and then...

Thanks Gemma. The colours I think have not been changed, only the framing of the picture!

Meike, my phone is relatively new (bought 18-20 months ago) and the camera in this one is a lot better than the one in my first smartphone. I probably haven't explored half its possibilities yet as most of the time I still feel more comfortable using the "real" camera!

Graham, I think the feature was added in the latest update. There is probably an option somewhere to turn off the auto-suggestions, but I haven't taken the time to explore... It doesn't do it with all the photos, only occasionally.
