On Monday morning when I woke up, there was already quite a bit of new snow on the ground, and it kept on snowing most of the day... I didn't intend to go out at all, but after the plow had been round our street in the afternoon, and the snowfall took a pause, I decided to at least take out the garbage to the bins (at the corner of my building). And having got that far, I ventured a little bit further, to snap some photos with my mobile. (As I had put on my warm coat and gloves and studded boots anyway.) I was only out for about 10-15 minutes in the immediate neighbourhood, though.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteHow we miss the snow. Budapest always had great drifts of the white stuff by now but, this year, as last, just a few wisps and nothing else.
Such strange times in which we live.
Welcome back to Blogland. - We haven't had much snow here either this winter, until now. Seems it's going to remain cold for the rest of the week, though.
DeleteBeautiful, and I can understand your wish to go out - even if only for a very short time - and capture some of that beauty on camera.
ReplyDeleteIt's been rather mild here, and wet. Apparently, we are to expect a severely cold continuation of the month, but not just yet - 13 Celsius on Friday!
Meike, here they predict continued cold weather over the next week or so. Not sure if we'll get down as low as -13'C though.
DeleteSorry to have confused you, Monica - I meant "13 Celsius", not -13. The - was just a dash to separate the two parts of the half-sentence.
DeleteNow the weather app on my phone says 14C on Saturday!
Ah, well, I suppose that makes more sense for your part of Europe, Meike... 🙃
Deletelove the three trees shot.. glad it is you and not me in the snow taking photos, it is gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSandra, still snowy here and no wind, and today we had some sun as well, to make it even more magical. There will be more snowy photos coming up.
DeleteI love snow.....in pictures. It's like many things: beautiful to look at but impractical to work in.
ReplyDeleteGraham, I agree... Luckily, just at the moment I don't really have to "do" anything with it, though. Today was sunny and I was able to just go out and enjoy looking at it while new and white and fresh. (Soon enough, it will be old and tired and slippery and just making life difficult; and then I'll get back to complaining.)
DeleteIt's a Winter Wonderland!!
ReplyDeleteYes it is! And you'll be seeing more of it soon!
DeleteSnow photos are such a novelty to me, mostly because we don't get it here, it looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteAmy, with sunshine it looks even better... More photos coming soon!
