Fog & Summer Leftovers

Sunny one day, wet and foggy the next - that's typical of October as well. A foggy day has its own fascination, though - everything seems kind of muted (colour as well as sound).

(If anyone is wondering what they are doing, they're playing boules - I think.)

The butterfly season is over, I'm afraid, even if there are still a few flowers to be found...

so much beauty, so little time to see and capture it.... i like the one at the top that the trees look so large making the houses seem smaller

It is so lovely there now, and the mist adds to it. I just read in the paper that Sweden has suspended the Moderna vaccine.

Love that intimacy that fog gives, everything seems close.

Ginny, the Moderna vaccine has been suspended for those under age 30, as some young people have caught myocarditis as a side effect. (One can also get that from the virus itself.) For now, age 12-30 will be given the Pfizer vaccine. People over 30 may still get Moderna.

Sandra, yes, knowing that the next storm may blow it all away, one does feel the need to make the most of it while it lasts! :)

Barbara, I think of it as adding a kind of otherworldly touch. I suppose a feeling of intimacy is the other side of the coin, though - only seeing the things close to you, while other things "disappear".

I like foggy days, too; they have their very own special magic.
Your autumn colours are maybe one or two weeks ahead of ours, but I have no doubt we are getting there!
