Sepia Saturday 592 - The Centre of Attention

... or Smile, Baby, smile! ...

From my own album, I pick this photo to match the Sepia Saturday prompt of the week. The people doing their best here are my parents, my paternal grandmother (next to my mum), my grandmother's sister, and her husband. My p. grandfather took the photo; and the year is 1956.

    1. Sandra, I agree. This is another photo that is b&w photo in my album but I edited it to sepia for this post, and it somehow came out both softer and sharper all in one!

    1. Ginny, the old black-and-white photos, even those from as far back as the turn of the century ~1900, are generally in much better shape than my early colour ones from the 1960s/70s/80s.

  3. A perfect picture for that motto, and a lovely one, too!

  4. Perfection! And clearly the focus of everyone's attention!

  5. There's something about sepia photos that makes the scene look more intimate, warmer, somehow. Wonderful how a child can give a common focus to a group.

    1. I agree on both points, Pauline. And as during my first six years on earth I was the only grandchild on both sides of the family, I probably did get quite a lot of attention ;)

  6. A great match and it shows the power of a single image. I liked your title, too - I sometimes struggle with that.

    1. Thanks Sue. I agree, pinning down a theme and/or finding a title is often the most tricky bit :)
