I had better luck in my search for signs of spring today, as I found some snowdrops in a flower bed in my neighbourhood. Not the kind dripping down from above, but the kind springing up from down below! :)
I love snowdrops, and spotting them for the first time each year is always a bit of a highlight for me, just like hearing a blackbird's early morning song for the first time, which often happens as early as January.
Lovely, such happy flowers - they are the first sign of spring after a long winter. Although we don't have them here and our gardens mostly stay the same throughout the year.
I like them.
ReplyDeletebeautiful, I have never seen them growing, only photos

ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet; I don't think we have them here. At least I have never seen any.

ReplyDeleteThanks to all of you above for visiting and commenting! :)
ReplyDeleteThey should be appearing here any time now - just as soon as the deep snow melts so that we can see them.
