hey there sister madsnapper.... had to laugh when i saw this, thought i had clicked on my own blog. i use a knife and a spoon and this is my first time learning there is a melon cutter. i like the color of the cutter.
I never knew there was such a thing either. But I happened to be browsing the kitchenware section at the supermarket yesterday because I needed some new plastic containers and bowls... And there it was; and I do often find whole melons a bit difficult to handle... So I was tempted. (And then of course I also had to go buy a melon, which also wasn't on my shopping list.)
I hope you enjoy using this kitchen tool. To me it looks like more trouble than it is worth, but I prefer to eat my melon slices using my hands not cutlery. Cut open the melon. Scoop out the seeds with a spoon. Slice the melon into skinny slices. Eat for breakfast. I like an assortment of fruit for breakfast served on a plate and to be eating with the fingers.
