Weekend Reflections: The House of Glass (I)

CIMG5418-001

Not easy to make out what’s what in this photo. You might be tempted to think I was looking through the glass case towards the windows, but the windows that you see here were actually on the wall behind me…

The photo is from the Glass Museum at Limmared, Sweden. More photos from my visit there today will be coming up soon. This one is for Weekend Reflections.

Beautiful photo and museum; a great idea for a museum theme.

A very nice display. So baroque, with all this glass...

I don't know what you mean by strained up, Adrain.

I was thinking of you when snapping away in there, Sandra. :) A really difficult place to take photos in though, because of all the reflections.

This all looks like a house of illusion. You could look at it forever and still see something new!

The kind of reflection I like :Almost impossible to guess what's in and what's out. great picture indeed!

I think Adrian means played around with Monica. Though don't ask me how. I don't do playing around with things.

I meant straigtened sorry straightened up....it's my anor...dislecksia...dyslexia showing. Why do they have a word that is impossible to spell to describe folk that can't spill.
It's a cracking shot and thank you Graham for interceding on my behalf. I need a re-seeder.

Graham, it has already been played around with.
I could probably play some more, though.

Adrian, I don't think it's possible to get everything straight in this photo. For one thing one of the candles was leaning. I'd have had to break the glass cabinet to straighten that out...

I might try a further tweak of the photo in a later post though.

I love your complicated reflections of reflections photo. Lots there.

This is kind of like my two recent Venice reflection photos, taken by shooting into a store window.

I like the effect here. It makes the scene almost three dimensional! Nicely captured.

It almost looks like magic. You'd expect something like that to be in a scene of a Harry Potter movie.

A glass museum....must have been an interesting trip.
Hope you post other photos soon.

Nice reflection. I am curious what you find in this glass museum. Waiting for more.

Monica, good enough is near enough but here you have the reflections and the candles tilting the same way so they are easy to straighten. It's a great shot and worth making better.

Beautifully complicated!

That would be a museum I would like to visit! Are you seeing these images in a mirror?

DawnTreader said...

No mirrors involved, Jeannette. The windows are reflected in a glass case.
