I love the bird footprints, and that must have been one big bird! The trees are beautiful! And the snowman, it looks like his maker gave him teeth? And lots of buttons. They spent a lot of time on him. I always hate to see them melt.
One of the things about black an white is that it emphasises composition and texture and that really suits your snow pictures. I, too, have ice grippers similar to yours and they are certainly effective on the harder slipper surfaces.
Graham is right and Adrian wrong in this case - the strap on my boot does belong to ice grippers. These only go under the heel but I find this the best kind for me as what I have to deal with in town is often a mix of bare and icy patches.
these are stunning, I LOVE the TREES! and your boot is ART and so is the print it left. these are really beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Sandra. Additionally they are a refreshing break from our overwhelming dry and heat. My fav is the bird tracks.

ReplyDeleteIt does look really wonderful. I use a pair of these and they are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteICE GRIPPERS
They are readily available and I prefer the ones with the coiled spring type grip......They are not expensive.
I'm not a snow fan, either, but I agree that it makes for beautiful pictures, and I like looking at it from the comfort of my warm kitchen :-)

ReplyDeleteGraham, that wee strap is just decoration on Monica's boot. That's why I like ladies in rigger boots it saves me getting muddled up.

DeleteGlad that is sorted even though your boots look posh.
DeleteWonderful snow shots! Glad to see you're wearing broddar!
ReplyDeleteVisually very stunning and striking. Love the stark contrast.
