I don't think I've ever seen orange and yellow azaleas, white, red and every shade of pink, but not orange and yellow. And this is so late for azalea, we get them in March-April. Sure pretty though.
These are spectacular! No pinks and purples there, and no white, which I find rather unusual. Here, azaleas and rhododendron have dropped their flowers a few weeks ago already. Unfortunately I didn't have occasion to go to the park when they were at their height, that was when I was still ill.

ReplyDeleteForgot to say that we would miss pictures of your town very much if you went for speedy exercise walks!
DeleteThanks Meike. :) And yes, spring always comes a bit earlier (and summer lasts a bit longer) where you live, I think!
DeleteI had no idea that azaleas came in such stunning colours...I've only seen the pink ones.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful.
Thanks Virginia. Yes they are amazing, and I'm lucky to live very close to this place so that I can catch them when they're at their very best!
DeleteThat's the sort of sight you just don't see here on Lewis.
