Sharing four postcrossing cards which all came “flying in” during the last week of May.

(Artist: Virpi Pekkala)
From Turkey – a beautiful butterfly
From California, US – an intriguing piece of art named “Between the wings”
(Artist: Sulamith Wülfing)
From Germany – A fairy dance
(Artist: Gertrud Dieckhoff)
I really like both fairy cards, the b fly is beautiful, my favorite is the art from CA because of all the details. it is beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the fairy mail!
ReplyDeleteLove the postcards, particularly Between The Wings.
ReplyDeleteDo I detect a Mucha influence in Between The Wings?
ReplyDeleteI like the last one best, for its sunniness 😊
Between the wings is very mysterious and draws me! Does it happen to say who the artist is? If so, I can look them up and try to find a meaning. It kind of looks like she is in between sorrow and joy, dark and light. So maybe that is it. I love the little fairy posting a letter!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I got the name of the artist of Between The Wings wrong - have corrected it now. It's Sulamith Wülfing (not Wilfing). German artist, 1901-1989. There is a Wikipedia article and more of her artwork to be seen online if you do a search. I haven't really had time to explore myself, yet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards here. Thank you for sharing. By the way, I loved your comment for Maria on Postcards for the Weekend #88. Wishing you a fine week ahead!
