Weekend Reflections in the Fog

Today I woke up to find the world hidden in fog. I kept waiting for the fog to lift - hoping to be able to catch a little sunlight. However, the fog did not lift... So finally (around noon) I decided to just go out and have a go at catching some fog instead.

The really odd thing is that in between the first eight photos and the last two, the fog actually did lift for a while. I decided to go and see an exhibition at a museum (not the same one as last weekend!), and when I got back out from there, the sun was shining, and the sky was blue. So I decided to walk all the way back home as well. But weirdly, as I got closer to home, I found myself walking right back into the fog again!

Going through my photos now, I decided to keep the foggy atmosphere throughout this post - and save the rest for later! :)

It makes everything so beautiful!! I especially love the fence reflection, so clear even in the fog! The first picture by the railroad tracks, and the seventh picture with the pretty roofline.

these are all pretty awesome lookin to me, especially love the last 6 of these. a couple of them would be beautiful hanging on a wall, with a downlight shining on them.. sometimes we drive in and out of fog in just a few miles

I've always had a thing for fog, ever since I walked to school on foggy autumn mornings as a little girl and found the world looked and sounded so different.
The third from botton is my favourite picture of this lot.

Providing one is not being disrupted by it, there are few things as beautiful as mist and fog for providing atmospheric views. I can remember the 'pea-soupers' of the 1950s when cities would be cloaked in smog for days. They were definitely not enjoyable. Your photos are absolutely lovely.
