Some more photos from the same walk as my last two posts, around the old cemetery close to where I live, the first day after it turned cold and snowy here. The building above is a funeral chapel. We're still in a cold spell here, but the first day was the most beautiful, with the snow all fresh, sunshine and no wind.

Beautiful in the snow.
Very pretty church, loving the snow.
You have captured much beauty in your scenes of pure white snow, stark trees and the red brick funeral chapel highlighted with snow on its roof.
It was the best thing you could do that day, get out and catch some sunlight - and then share all this winterly beauty with us. Thank you!
I love walking on crunchy snow provided it's not too icy underneath. As for the snow you have I would enjoy that simply because it is so rare here.
number 2 is my favorite, LOVE IT and the little arch roof tiles with snow on them are fantastic. have not heard of a funeral chapel....
In the countryside the graveyards are often next to a church; but in the cities they are separate and then there's usually a smaller chapel/building of some sort that can be used for the ceremonies, if not too many people are attending. Many people nowadays also don't belong to a church. This cemetery is from the 19th century I think, and back then I guess the funeral chapels were built to resemble small churches as that was still the norm. Newer ones can be more neutral.
Graham, it has been rather rare here too the last couple of winters. I find I'm quickly getting tired of it now, though. (Bitterly cold winds the last couple of days...)
Those are some glorious shots, with the light playing over the snow!
Thanks to everyone above for your comments :)
