Some more photos from a recent walk "down by the riverside" (a few days ago). While I can't see the river from home, it's only about 10 minutes walk away.
The light and colours in your pictures is very similar to what I have been experiencing here over the last week during my walks. It really is a beautiful time of year!
Sandra, ah, yes, not being allowed to pick the flowers is one disadvantage of not having one's own garden... On the other hand, at least I have nice parks within walking distance :)
I've developed a love of Rudbekia (the flower in the top right hand picture possibly also known as the similar Ecinacea or Helenium) which my Dad used to grow when I was small so it was good to see them here.

Beautiful.
How gorgeous! And I love the sky in the water. What are the pretty blue flowers?
there's so many pretty colours there, no wonder you were drawn to it.

all those goreous flowers make me want to sneak out after dark and snip a few for a bouquet. the scenery you walked past is fantastic
I'm afraid I don't know their name, Ginny.
Amy, in fine weather this is my favourite time of year (late summer with just hint of autumn...)
Meike, I can only agree :)

Love the river reflections, so peaceful.

Pauline, I can never resist them, especially if I happen to have my proper camera with me ;)
Graham, I like them too, and I love how they've combined them with the blue flowers in this spot.
