An incredible day today, with summer temperatures around 20'C (34'F) in the shadow. And suddenly all kinds of trees in bloom or turning green...
Birch turning green |
Cherry blossom |
Magnolia in the City Park |
It may all slow down a bit next week though, as the weather forecasts now speak of rain and somewhat cooler temperatures again.
The last shot is really stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny. Nothing quite like "fresh greens"... ;-)
DeleteIt certainly has sprung. Lovely photos - how cheerful everywhere looks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol. Today we're back to grey, wet and +10... Less cheerful, but no doubt we need the rain as well!
Deletebeautiful photos today, but then your photos are always beautiful. hope it doesn't get cold enough to harm your flowers and your things out on your balcony
ReplyDeleteSandra, it's not likely to get so cold as to harm to my winter survivors :-)
DeleteIt was pretty much the same here on Saturday – the warmest day of this year so far, with temperatures as high as 24 Celsius (maybe even more than that in sheltered, sunny spots). People were of course out and about in shorts and sleeveless tops; I wonder what they are going to wear in summer…!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t it amazing how little time trees and flowers need to burst into bloom and open their first leaves, given the right conditions?
Meike, on Saturday I was wearing a thin denim jacket, on Sunday back to my winter coat...
