Postcrossing card from China (Shanghai), July 2017
In the dark, I can't tell if those roads/bridges are crossing water or land... An impressive piece of engineering, indeed - but I can't say it tempts me to go there.
Wow! It is so much the opposite of your sweet little bridges. I can't tell if it is over water or not, either. I would be throwing up the entire way! But it is beautiful to look at, and makes a great postcard.
From all I know about it, Shanghai is not my kind of place, either - impressive, sure, but overwhelming, I suppose. I am much happier in the Yorkshire Dales :-)
It certainly is pretty impressive. I'm not sure that would ever want to visit any city which is quite so large. In fact cities in general appal me. It's just a shame that in order to see some things I do want to see I have to put up with the surroundings as well.
it is a really nice card, those type roads are called interstates here and I dread getting on them.

ReplyDeleteI echo everything Sandra says. Doubly.
ReplyDeleteFabulous engineering. Great solution to a problem. This picture definitely inspires me to try a little harder. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteFabulous looking city.
