Yesterday was cold and grey and with a few more snowflakes whirling about. It was also laundry day for me, so I was content to just stay in... Today I woke up to sunshine, outdoors temperature around -5'C, and a thin layer of white on the ground. Still no more than 1 cm or so, but enough to cover small streets and walk paths. I had a grocery delivery coming in the late morning; but after lunch I went out for a bit.
Me and my very tall winter shadow
(photo taken around 2 pm)
A deceptive photo: It looks rather like a lake with a snowy beach to the right, doesn't it? In reality, it's the metal roof a single level industrial building across a road and railroad down below from where I was standing... My focus was on the fluffy clouds in sky!
Dressed for winter...

Lovely photos Monica - how crisp and clean everywhere looks.
Love your coat, you look very snug and ready to face the coldest days.
The fluffy clouds are very... fluffy :-)
A beautiful day to be outside, catch some fresh air and stretch your legs. And you were well wrapped up to withstand the -5C. We have yet to see that kind of temperature, but apparently, it'll go below zero tomorrow (Friday) and then back to an incredible +15C or even more on Sunday!!
I have never been in negative temps and hope I never will. LOVE the coat and the photo in the mirror.. brrrrrr I was freezing thisw morning and we were 65 F/18 C, a drop over night from 87F and tomorrow we will be 59.. that is our cold front. gorgeous sunshine and breezes. this is my favorite time of the year, November through Feb..
I love the shadow very much
You are cute as can BE! You look like a little Eskimo. That does look just like a lake, unbelievable.
Oh Monica you look so cute and snuggled into your warm coat. The snow looks pretty.
Carol, this is my warmest winter coat - it does not come out until it's getting at least frosty outside... ❄️
Meike, it will probably turn back to milder weather here as well in a few days.
Sandra, well, you've had your bit of really difficult weather already so I hope your winter months will live up to expectations and stay worthy of being your favourite time of year!
Thanks Ginny. I do feel a bit like an Eskimo dressed in that coat! ;)
Thanks Terra. Still sunny and cold here today, but they say it will turn milder again soon. And perhaps more snow before it all turns to slush. Other parts of Sweden (north and east) are having really difficult weather just now, lots of snow and wind with all the complications that brings...
We've had about that much snow too. It's unusual for November here. Very cold too, but will be warming up over the weekend, so they say.
