After a very grey and rainy week, this morning offered a glimpse of blue skies, and I made use of that for a walk downtown for a few errands. And couldn't resist this perfect mirror image of this impressive mural that was painted back in the summer; seen from the park.

My favourite tea shop, situated at the main square. I've been buying my loose leaf teas there for as long as I've lived in this town - which will be 39 years in January. Today the small shop was crammed with people when I arrived, so I preferred to wait outside for a while, and then snapped this photo of one of their windows.
Yesterday I took this photo of an old wooden house closer to home, because of their display of an electric candle holder in each window upstairs, and a star in each window downstairs. The building is used for offices these days.
Reflection photo from yesterday, all in subtle shades of November: grey, black and brown, with just a hint of some green grass on the ground... (We only had a few frosty days so far.)

Deletethe last photo defines the word "cold". it makes me feel cold looking at it. That first mural is spectacular mirror image and it is one of my most favorite. I rememeber when they were painting it.. I would love to wander in a decorated Mall... I like the 3 trees and the packages...

DeleteIts nice that your town has a big Christmas tree up, I have yet to venture into the main streets of where I live to see if there is one up there but I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteAmy, it's a nice tradition with the big Christmas tree in the square, that big empty space needs something like that in winter to cheer things up a bit.

Your first photograph is stunning. How clever people are to realise large art in murals. I like the tea shop, too. It looks very inviting. (I found my way here via Desert Canyon Stories)
The reflection of the mural is quite spectacular - how still the water is. It wasn't that long ago that you showed us photos of the mural being painted. The decorated trees and beautifully wrapped packages are so festive and I love the lighted window with their stars and electric candles. It's such a lovely tradition.
