From a short walk in my neighbourhood today – the sun shining on the trees dressed in yellow autumn colours, and a background of dark clouds.
GORGEOUS!!!!
It was very similar here yesterday. The morning sky was rather spectacular, too, but of course I did not have my camera with me on the way to work.
the gold looks great against the stormy sky, as good as if it were blue and white clouds. the color of he leaves holds it own
I go to Napa for my annual fall peeping drive. Napa is burning right now and so this is a good alternate for that. Worth a Thousand Words

I've seen a lot of skies like that recently but precious few with the sun on the autumn trees. I'm rather envious.
It will be a year or so before I might get the chance of seeing it again myself, Graham! (Most of the leaves have already dropped to the ground since I took those photos...)
