Today is the Winter Solstice in the Northern hemisphere. The shortest day of the year, and the longest night. Here, the sun rose at 8:50 am and went to bed at 3:22 pm. 6h 32m of daylight.
Yes, and from now on, minute by minute we will have more daylight again! Every morning when I open my windows, I hear a blackbird singing his spring song, no matter the season. In 2 1/2 months or so, he will be joined by the full chorus. I am so looking forward to that.
