Winter Solstice

Today is the Winter Solstice in the Northern hemisphere.
The shortest day of the year, and the longest night.
Here, the sun rose at 8:50 am
and went to bed at 3:22 pm.
6h 32m of daylight.

(The photo is a triple window reflection.)

Yes, and from now on, minute by minute we will have more daylight again!
Every morning when I open my windows, I hear a blackbird singing his spring song, no matter the season. In 2 1/2 months or so, he will be joined by the full chorus. I am so looking forward to that.
