I saved some photos from yesterday for "Weekend Reflections".
Today (much as I suspected) we're snowed in again. It's been snowing all day, and still towards evening no sign or sound of a snow plow. I can only hope they're doing a better job of it on the main streets than on the side streets I see from my windows... Today is not even a holiday! But I was just reminded on the news that covid-numbers (omicron) are sky-rocketing here every day just now - I suppose that affects the snow-clearing as well.
Yes, I wonder if many of the road workers are out sick with covid. Beautiful icy white and blue images today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny. Yes, I wonder, too. A plow did come around early this morning, though. (Still snowing today.)
DeleteIt has been a long time ago that our blogs connected. Had to let go of my old blog (the Jesh Studio), and also changed my username fro Jesh to Emille. I am no.9 photo on Weekend Reflection. A very happy 2022 to you! Emille
ReplyDeleteHi Jesh (Emille) and happy 2022 to you, too. Yes, "long time no see". I have been wondering now and then. I'll check out your Reflection post!
Deleteyep, the virus is on the move in every country. but we still have your beautiful reflections, just stay far away from people.
ReplyDeleteSandra, this weekend at least I'm going nowhere! :)
DeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jim.
DeleteWe've had a few cases here mostly in managed isolation/MIQ facilities so hopefully it stays there.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I think they said the same here to begin with (whenever that was - I'm losing track of time when it comes to corona statistics). Now with the vaccine most people don't seem to get so sick that they need hospital care, but as the omicron variant is evidently more contagious than the previous ones, it is causing chaos anyway (with lots of people having to stay home from work etc).
DeleteThere was a tiny bit of very wet and heavy snow here yesterday, but it‘s all gone today. We had sun but a very cold wind and so wrapped up warmly for our walk across the fields this afternoon. Hopefully, the streets in your neighbourhood will be cleared enough for you to be able to go for walks again (and then share the pictures with us!).
ReplyDeleteMeike, it has continued to snow here on and off all day. Wet snow and icy slush. I took out the rubbish to the bins at the corner of the house + a few steps extra (5 min or so), but that felt like enough today...
DeleteIt's shocking to realise that it's almost two years since we first heard about "a virus originating in China". Most of us thought little more about it until it hit the headlines worldwide. How we all hoped it would be gone within a few months, and now we're still held captive by each mutation.
ReplyDeleteCG, yes, hard to believe isn't it. Sometimes it feels like yesterday and sometimes like half a lifetime ago!
DeleteLove these color combinations and the whole composition of your images.
