Walking into town today I discovered that one big new mural is now in place. I really like it!
A bit further on along the river, preparations for another one have started:
The 2024 Borås Art Biennial is "up and running"...
No doubt there will be more new art around town to explore during the summer.

at first I thought they did the whole building, I LOVE IT!!!! truly do... one of my all time favorites and the building would be nice with all walls done...
Wow! Surely this was not hand painted. The lines and curves are too perfect, all the geometric things look impossible to do free and. I think it looks like emerald gems.
That's a great mural! I love the ones that have an identifiable object, but I think I like this patterned one even more.
I have always thought that your city's love of murals was a good example for others. I'm pleased that Glasgow is embracing them wholeheartedly too.
Love the mural! You are going to have some very interesting walks into town as you spot each new one.
It is a wonderful way to brighten up a city/town's blank walls. Very tastefully done!
That mural is very nice, it looks somehow like Moorish tiles to me. I would like to see it in colours. Many places I have been there are remarkable painted murals on the houses. They fade more than tiling, of course, and rarely last longer than 10 years or so.
Sandra, the white building with the balconies is not the same building as the decorated one. The building that has the new mural now had a different mural before (totally different) that also covered the same walls.
Ginny, alas I missed seeing the artist at work on this one, but I think she makes the patterns using large stencils. There is another wall in town made by her back in 2017. I looked it up now and the name she uses is NeSpoon, and you can more of her work here: https://nespoon.art/category/murals/
Meike, tnis new mural is totally different to the old one that was on that building before. I knew that was going to be replaced but I did not know by which artist or exactly when, so I missed seeing the artist in action. Great choice though, I really love it!
Graham, I'm glad that my town is continuing the tradition, and I also think it's probably a good idea to replace prominent ones before they fade too much and start looking really "tired".
Carol, the art festivals do indeed make it more interesting to walk "the same old streets" - not quite knowing what may turn up around the next corner!
JayCee, I do agree! :)
Jenny, this new mural replaced one that was painted back in 2014 (for our first street art festival that included murals).
