Above: Friday - walking around the old cemetery
Below: Saturday - walking into town and back
On Saturday afternoon I also spent some time preparing a post on my blog Greetings from the Past, for the Sepia Saturday October theme "Special Times". You can read that post here. It goes a bit beyond my personal family history - but it was my grandfather who took the photos!
WOW!!!!!!!!! The second photo really does it for me! And just under the leaves of the big tree, you can see so many lining the background, totally wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteGinny, it was probably the peak of this season, with sun and blue sky and no wind. Now more leaves are dropping to the ground every day.
DeleteSuch wonderful colour and the reds/oranges look splendid against the blue sky.
ReplyDeleteJenny, it was a really beautiful day.
DeleteWonderful autumn tree leaves turning
ReplyDeleteAutumn at its best, Ro.
DeleteBecause I wasn't well, I have not been to the palace grounds or the deer park last week, but I guess the colours there would have been similarly beautiful. The luminosity in your photos... they are simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI am now going to check your your "past" post.
Thanks Meike. Although we've had some rain we've not had much wind just lately, which is no doubt why so many yellow leaves are still hanging on to the trees :)
DeleteFabulous! It seems that in just a day or two the trees have all turned such glorious colours.
ReplyDeleteCarol, hopefully we'll get to enjoy it for a few days more, but of course more leaves are dropping to the ground every day now.
DeleteJayCee, just trying to make the most of it while it lasts... :)
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful. This is my favourite time of year.
