Weekend Reflection: Old Factory Building

CIMG1759

From a walk along the river earlier in the week. Or… Well… Actually there is no walkway following the riverside just here. I had to make a little detour across a parking lot to get this view ;)

  1. even your factory's are beautiful, ours here are most always ugly metal buildings, not many pretty ones here at all. you were brave to cross the parking lot HaHa..

  4. Just beautiful! Although the first picture is my favorite, the second one looks like a Monet again! The windows in the top left of the building, what is that to the right of them? It looks like a big hole that was smashed in the building...

  5. Well worth the detour. Love the second one but glad you showed the first so I can see what's in the reflection.

  6. I hope they build a better factory to replace this one so workers don't get lay off.

  7. Ann, this town is full of abandoned factory buildings; many of them are being repaired and used for other purposes though, like schools, offices, shops and museums. We have a textile industry history here; the focus has shifted from production to design, shopping, mailorder and tourism though.

  8. Such a great reflection with the waterlilies in the water. I love old factories like this...even without the reflection. :)
