The sunset skies outside my windows around 6 pm today (Sunday) drew my attention away from the news on the TV screen for a while... Full of their own kind of "drama"! (Photos taken from my balcony.)
Sandra, the kitchen window faces north-east, so I did not even bother to check the sky in that direction. The whole colourful show only lasted a few minutes.
Beautiful! Glad you caught the few minutes that it lasted, and thank you for sharing the pictures here with us. We had a wonderful evening sky here yesterday, too, but it was cloudless and showed the narrow crescent of the Moon and the brilliant Venus off perfectly.
Lovely sunsets. We often have some spectacular ones, but I almost always forget to photograph them. Grey and overcast here for the last couple of days and no forecast for an improvement all week. We'll have to get used to grey skies and rain!
Jenny, I'm not usually glued to every newscast but just now it feels like one had better try to keep up, even if some of it seems more like bad fiction than reality...
No sunset here. Dreary. Friends coming for dinner. Hopefully I'll be in Blogland tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the weather I hope you had a good time with your friends, Graham - and always happy to see you back in Blogland!!
DeleteWow, this is totally stunning! And the two old trees make it even better, giving perspective and texture. A pink & blue symphony!
ReplyDeleteIt was really spectacular, Ginny.
DeleteThe purple wonder
ReplyDeletehow did the sunset look through the kitchen curtains or do they face the wrong way for that. there is nothing so beautiful as sunset/sunrise for me

Meike, it's good to have a bit of a view from one's home even though one is living in a city, isn't it.

Carol, after years of blogging, grabbing the camera is almost an instinct with me as soon as I see something - anything - I like... ;)
DeleteWhat amazing photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Addy
DeleteWhat beautiful skies. Yes, we need distraction from our TVs and all the depressing News!
