Others among my blogging friends have been doing it lately, so I had to give it a go as well - the Microsoft Bing Image Creator...
Not feeling very imaginative, I started by just giving it the title of my blog.
Wondering what to try next, my neighbour's annoying bird started screeching again. (Even with doors and windows closed now that it's chilly and rainy outside, I still hear it through the wall...) So I gave the image creator the prompt "a really annoying bird in a cage".
Now I have some suggestions what it may look like...
I added "cartoon" and tried again...
I then tried to create an image of myself walking around the cemetery in the rain - which is as far as my outdoor activities this week have stretched.
Below is what I got from the instruction "68 year old woman walking in a cemetery in the rain, wearing a purple raincoat and holding a red umbrella".
Photo or cartoons, I have to say that I think there's still room for improvement... ;-)
You did really good! The mad birds are adorable and have cracked me up. But the woman walking is not NEAR as pretty as you!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ginny. Have to say that if the woman walking had actually turned out looking exactly like me, though - THAT would have seriously scared me!!! ;-)
DeleteYou did really great with that Image Creator, it looks like you had fun. Strange how the umbrellas seem to float near the woman.
ReplyDeleteTerra, creating the annoying birds was kind of therapeutic ;-) With the umbrella pictures, I'd say that actually none of them shows a really realistic grip - and some of them are "seriously" wrong...
DeleteGoodness!! In my experience, 68-year-old ladies do not look like zombies. And how the software managed to mix up which of the items should be purple and which should be red, is beyond me - that part seems like the simplest part of the code.
ReplyDeleteAs for the annoying bird, I guess I'd be screeching a lot, too, if I were locked up in a cage all day.
I envy you the rainy days!
Meike, I agree. I think the AI did not do very well at all with the last task. And I too was surprised that it didn't even get the colours right in some of the pics.
DeleteThe cartoons are much more fun than the photo images. The colours are muddled in the second set of photos, and look nothing like you!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I'd have found it seriously creepy if the photos had come out actually looking like me! (as I'd not provided any photo of myself for them to play with...) (There's still a lot of things wrong with the graveyard photos though, making them creepy enough anyway...)
Deleteit did a beautiful job of your blog title and i like all the cartoons. best of all i love that you and Ginny have now tried it. i tried to get it to do a fat lady in a childs pool and it will not allow anything at all with the word fat in it. blocks the word. I wanted it to tell a story of me when my kids were little. did you notice the arm on the lady with umbrella is turned the wrong way, out her back not her front. bing is having problems with hands and arms and fingers. saw it in mine and read on the board they are trying to enhance that part. I hope they don't get done with beta for a long time because then they will charge for it...
ReplyDeleteSandra, haha, yes, I did notice the lady holding the umbrella on her back, and with her arm in an absolutely impossible position... Actually, I think all of them, even the cartoons, are having problems with their umbrellas, one way or another!
DeleteAI definitely underestimates you, a cheerful yet calm woman with fabulous Northern European colouring. Never grumpy. Never looking foolish. Not stout. You like to carry a camera and you admire (not grin at) the trees and flowers. Give it a few more chances.
ReplyDeleteThanks Louise. I don't think anyone has ever complimented me for my "fabulous Northern European colouring" before! (lol) That aside, no doubt the AI still has a lot to learn - and so do I, when it comes to giving it helpful instructions... ;-)
