Looking through some photos from last year I found these, which I think I never got round to blogging. The field where I saw the horses in September 2011 is across the road from the country church yard where my parents’ grave is.
If you want to see more photos from the countryside around there, also visit my Picture Book post today (Friday My Town Shoot Out – Rule of Thirds).

What beautiful horses! Almost do't notice the fence for looking at them!
gorgeous views. looks like you had some rain last year. sure wish we could have some rain this year. we really need it. the area is looking dry. i'm afraid it will do like it usually does & will flood. why it works that way i'm not sure. really foggy this morning. take care. (:
wow, those horses are beautiful!!
Lovely horses :)
Have a great weekend!

good morning, hoping you are feeling better today. i love that first shot. beautiful horses.
Yes, the horses steal the show from the fence - as it should be! The horses are in beautiful condition. And one seems to be pregnant. These could be a lifetime subject.
Beautiful horses and rual scene!
These horses are beautiful, that is the most bare-bones simplistic fence I have ever seen!
the horses are beautiful!
I like the horse with the pale mane and socks. At the risk of sounding like a dirty old man (which I'm not, honest) it reminds me of a blonde girl in bobby socks.
Gorgeous horses, lovely series of shots.
