The sky cleared up again in the evening of our rainy day in Trollhättan, and we were able to go for a leisurely stroll along the canal at sunset.
That white thing you see sticking up on the other side of the canal we had seen up close earlier in the day. Some kind of water gate:

Really lovely scenery. And you really captured an amazing sky in the first shot.

ReplyDeleteI've only just started catching up on the goings-on in Blogland during my absence, and am now going to go back from post to post. Ripon has a canal, too - I think I have shown pictures of it last year, and there will probably one or two up this year as well :-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool photos - I'd love to see a canal. I'm not sure I really understand how canals work. I think I'd classify it under "must see to believe".
ReplyDeleteI hope to see you at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/08/bennett-place-bit-of-history.html and each week for the Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday) photo linky!
The importance of canals in the economic history of our countries is as amazing as it was brief. They fascinate me.
