my brother once built a ship almost identical to this one, it was in his wood shop in high school, made all from wood he cut out himself.

I recall you blogging about votive ships before but I don't think it was this one was it?
Graham, this votive ship hangs in the church in Algutsrum on Öland, and it was included in a post from there back in August. But I have blogged about other votive ships before as well, I think. They are quite common in old churches here.
