“Normal” Advent calendars only have 24 windows/doors to open (at least in Sweden, where our main day of celebration – including opening of presents – is Christmas Eve). But I decided to continue with these daily images on my blog all December, until the New Year.
Today’s photo is a stained glass window in Växjö Cathedral.
Merry Christmas to all of you around the world who have Christmas Day as your main day of celebration!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Eve, Monica, and enjoy Christmas Day, too.
ReplyDeleteLast year, I had a special Advent Calendar, published by an Evangelical Church, containing stories, poems, ideas for crafting, recipes, prayers and so on. It went all through to the 6th of January, when Christmas time well and truly ends (and when I put away all my Christmas things).
Thanks Meike, and I hope you're having a good Christmas, too. (Had a peek at your blog post earlier this morning, via Feedly on my phone. I'll get back to it on the computer later.) Sounds like a nice idea to keep a Christmas calendar going all through the holidays. I scheduled mine here to last all of December, but who knows what 2019 will bring :)
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. I don't think it matters at all what day we celebrate, we could pick a day in June and it would be ok.. Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteSandra, we're probably up to around 65 days of Christmas already, counting from when the shops start decorating... ho-ho-ho <;)>
DeleteSo beautiful. And we both posted the same thing today!! Merry Christmas, Monica!
ReplyDeleteHello Monica! I have just been looking at your daily photos for December. Very well done and thank you for sharing. Over my years of blogging I have tried posting daily for a while and I will say it is a challenge and you are doing a great job with it. Thank you for your kind Christmas greeting on my blog. May I return wishes for an wonderful Christmas to you and your family. Best regards to you from Seattle! John
ReplyDeleteThanks John. I agree that daily blogging is a challenge. With this "advent calendar", I prepared all the images back in November and scheduled the posts ahead, as I knew that otherwise I might not find the time! :)
