Meike, this photo is from an old locomotive service and repair facility which in later years was turned into an events venue (and still serves as such). I think this wheel is placed outside the entrance to the restaurant. (Or at least was when I took the photo.) So it's to do with the town's history but not specifically the textile industry.
True!!
ReplyDeleteHe knew his stuff, didn't he!
ReplyDeleteI imagine the wheel has something to do with your town's heritage as a centre of textile industry?

DeleteTrue - we can but hope it will someday be our turn!
ReplyDeleteCarol, another quote comes to mind...
Delete“Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest..."
(Alexander Pope)
It is another expression of karma.
ReplyDelete"What goes around comes around" ? I'm not so sure I really believe everyone gets what they deserve (at least not in this life) - but who knows!
Deletebeautiful picture of the wheel, and here we are, on that wheel turning so quickly towards Christmas day
ReplyDeleteSandra, I'm not sure sometimes if it is time that is spinning faster or just me getting slower...
DeletePerfect quote, I can totally relate.
